With the SUB C-8 D, DALI offers an extremely compact but enormously powerful subwoofer that helps both hi-fi systems and home cinemas to achieve powerful and deep bass reproduction. A 200 mm woofer and a powerful Class D power amplifier make it possible. <\/p>\n

The DALI SUB C-8 D can be used both as an addition to a hi-fi system and in a home cinema. In both cases, it reproduces low frequencies very faithfully and cleanly. <\/p>\n

The placement of a subwoofer has a great influence on the bass reproduction. We recommend placing the SUB C-8 D in a corner or – if this is not possible – directly against a wall. These locations ensure maximum bass level and even sound distribution in the room. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the SUB C-8 D is much easier to place than larger subwoofer models. <\/p>\n

Over the years, our engineers have developed a number of sound principles that can now be found in every DALI loudspeaker. Subwoofers, too, must meet the requirements of a wide dispersion angle, precise reproduction over time and the lowest possible losses. Thus equipped with DALI genes, it provides impressive film and music reproduction in small to medium-sized living rooms. <\/p>\n

AMPLIFIER <\/h3>\n

The Class D amplifier used in the DALI SUB C-8 D mobilises an RMS output power of 170 watts and operates exceptionally linearly. In addition, it has sufficient reserves thanks to a pulse power of 220 watts. With its controls for adjusting the volume level, cut-off frequency and phase, the DALI SUB C-8 D can be individually adapted for operation with most speakers and room acoustics. <\/p>\n

DEPTH BUGS <\/h3>\n

The DALI SUB C-8 D has a 200 mm woofer radiating downwards. Its cone membrane, made of high-quality cellulose, is not only particularly stiff, light and agile, it also offers excellent reproduction characteristics. The core of the drive is a large ferrite magnet that ensures maximum magnetic flux density in the voice coil gap. <\/p>\n

HOUSING <\/h3>\n

The MDF enclosure meets the strict DALI specifications for stability and low resonance. With black and white ash, there are two cabinet versions to choose from that should integrate perfectly into most living environments. Four large plastic spikes effectively decouple the cabinet from the floor. The 30 mm gap between the cabinet and the floor prevents disturbing turbulence. <\/p>\n
